With every passing moment more customers expect to self drive their way to purchases and implementations, and they want to learn how to do this on their own schedule. They don’t want to fit into your box. They expect you to fit into theirs.
We now live in a self driven economy where a growing number of customers and prospects know how to navigate the tools needed to make a decision. They can go to youtube for reviews or how-to videos and figure out if your product or service is right for them. They can read articles on review sites or simply ask their friends through social platforms their opinions about products or services. If you haven’t figured it out yet salespeople and installers are becoming less relevant to optimizing your revenue potential.
You might be thinking – not in my industry, not in my vertical, my product is too complicated to sell or to implement. Well, you’re wrong.
All you need to do is go rent or buy or borrow a VR kit like Oculus Quest to see the future. It is very clear. There isn’t anything anymore that can’t be created, sold or learned remotely. The technology quality is not quite there yet, but it will be very soon and probably in your lifetime.
Now I am not saying everything will be done in VR, I’m just suggesting that VR is another tool that is changing the way we consume, buy and use products or solutions we purchase. All our current technologies drive an individually independant economy. Even infrastructure will be designed, built and sold to communities (customers) with updates on the progress in real time in a self driven economy.
Not everyone consumes in this” futuristic” way but that number is changing fast. The wave is coming and if you’re not prepared then expect to be washed away.
Here are a couple of links to video links that will give you some insight in VR technology.
