A friend of mine runs a $12mil SAAS business out of the US. This pandemic has hit them hard and he was asking me for some advice on what they should do in these difficult times with opportunity drop off and extra time on their hands. I asked about his confidence level on their internal processes and if he felt they had everything running at its optimal level. Not surprisingly he said he thought so but he wasn’t certain. I told him that was something he needed to find out. I told him the 5 reasons for implementing a Continuous Improvement Process and how he can optimize internal efforts to achieve their revenue goals. Once things get back to normal he’ll be able to grow the business at an even faster rate and optimize revenue generation for the future. Here is a short video synopsis on the 5 reasons to implement the Continuous Improvement Process.
1. Your revenue trajectory is not as high as forecast
2. You suspect you have red flags or holes in your current processes
3. Your team(s) are not communicating well, and/or with external stakeholders
4. Your team does not feel accountable to goals or behaves in ways that demonstrate the goals are not clear or identifiable
5. Why not? If you are not hitting your numbers, then something has to change doesn’t it? Why not make process improvements while you evaluate your overall business strategy? It is not expensive to do.
